DC Current Probes, DC Transducers, DC Current Sensors

What is a DC Current Sensor?

DC current sensors, often referred to as DC current probes, sense direct current in cables and busbars, producing a voltage or mA output for metering, monitoring, aquisition and control. It senses dc current by detecting the magnetic field generated by the current flow in cables. Typically Hall Effect sensing is used as the physical sensing method. These sensors are widespread used in transportation, renewable energy and EV.
