The DP‑8V 100MHz high‑voltage differential probe allows safe, isolated measurements up to 8kV for oscilloscopes and power‑electronic systems. Ideal for EV, motor drives, and high‑frequency switching applications.
About the DP-15k Oscilloscope Differential Voltage Probe
The DP‑8V 8 kV 100 MHz High‑Frequency Differential Voltage Probe is an essential accessory for engineers working in power electronics, high‑voltage systems, and advanced switching applications. Designed to deliver safe, isolated and accurate measurements. It enables oscilloscopes, DAQs and data recorders to analyse high‑voltage circuits while remaining fully grounded. This isolation allows input signals to float at elevated potentials without exposing test equipment—or the user—to dangerous ground‑loop conditions.
With its wide DC–100MHz bandwidth, high input impedance, and excellent common‑mode rejection, the DP‑8V captures fast‑switching transients, PWM motor‑drive signals, and high‑frequency switching waveforms with precision. The probe supports switchable attenuation ranges ×10, ×100 and ×1000 making it suitable for everything from low‑voltage control circuits to high‑energy power stages up to 8kV peak‑to‑peak.
The DP‑8V is particularly valuable for differential and floating measurements across a wide range of AC and DC power systems, including 460V/230V/110V AC input supplies, chopped and switching power supplies, thyristor controllers, variable‑speed motor drives, motor inrush current analysis, and current‑shunt measurements. Its isolated input is provided through two secure 4mm safety/banana sockets, while the standard BNC output ensures seamless connection to oscilloscopes and DAQs.
Powered by either a 9 V battery or an external DC adaptor, the DP‑8V offers flexibility for both bench and field environments. Its robust insulation, CAT III safety ratings and low‑noise performance make it a reliable choice for EV power systems, inverter development, industrial drives and general high‑voltage research. Whether used for troubleshooting, design validation, or advanced diagnostics. The DP‑8V delivers the accuracy, safety and performance required in modern power‑electronics testing.
