Description

The RCT1A is a genuine Current Transformer (CT) replacement but has all the intrinsic benefits of a thin, light-weight, flexible, clip-around Rogowski (sense) coil. Just like a CT the RCT1A secondary output is an industry standard 0 to 1A (5VA pf 1) instantaneous current proportional to the measured primary current

Typically the RCT1A is used with power, current and power quality meters and is an ideal replacement for CTs in retrofit applications to avoid plant shutdown, applications with limited space for installation and particularly where existing monitoring equipment designed for a 0 to 1A CT input is installed.

1. RCT1A x 3 pieces - output VA is 0.5, meaning the RCT1A needs to be situated close to your power meter. Most economical.

or

2. RCTi x 3 pieces along with TA5V-1A x 3 pieces - output VA is 5.0, high (higher than the RCT1A), meaning the RCTi can be situated close or some distance from your power meter. The advantage compared to 3. below, is that this solution is more flexible, especially if the phase cables are spread out, possibly in different areas. Single phase is also possible.

or

3. RCTi3ph x 1 piece along with TA5V-1A x 3 pieces - output VA is 5.0, meaning the RCTi3ph can be situated close or some distance from your power meter. The RCTi3ph is slightly less expensive compared to solution 2. above

1. RCT5A x 3 pieces - output VA is 0.5, meaning the RCT5A needs to be situated close to your power meter

or

2. RCTi x 3 pieces along with TA5V-5A x 3 pieces - output VA is 5.0, high (higher than the RCT5A), meaning the RCTi can be situated close or some distance from your power meter.
