The Ptk-P series Watt Transducers are designed to measure Active Power in 1 phase and 3 phase systems. They convert the Active Power drawn by a load to an safe isolated DC output proportional to the Watts or KW. The Ptk-P Series measure true power and are effectively RMS calibrated transducers, with 4-20mA (4mA live zero) or voltage (0-10V) outputs. Auxiliary instrument power is required to ensure that the Watts computations are valid, even when the input voltage is varying. Because the Ptk-P Series is true RMS sensing, its computation of AC Power is valid even with distorted waveforms of up to 9th harmonic with a crest factor of 5. The P Series is typically used for Power measurement where distorted current waveforms are present, such as speed controlled pumps, motor controllers, UPS and thyristor drives. The above units are also used to verify energy management systems, switchboards, generator and telemetery controls. Isolation of 2.5kV is provided between the input and output signal, allowing the P Series output to be safely connected to PLC computer systems and even conventional analogue meters

Solid-core models are supplied with 18-inch cables on sensor sizes C & D. All other solid core models supplied with detachable 8-foot cable. Sensor size C split-core models are supplied with 8-foot attached cable. All other split-core models are supplied with detachable 8-foot cable. Longer cables are available.
All units require 115Vac instrument power 50/60Hz. Optional 230Vac instrument power - add suffix “-22”
